Should you really attend LSE MiM this 2025?

LSE is one of the best business schools in the entire world. And its MiM program is comparatively new. Many students face a dilemma and I have been asked this a couple of times- “Should I do the LSE MiM program?”” Is LSE MiM worth the money?"

The immense popularity of LSE MiM is also an indirect con for the aspirant. Why do you ask? Here I will honestly discuss a few unpopular cons of LSE MiM.

  • Theoretical Approach: The program leans more towards theoretical knowledge and critical thinking compared to some MiM programs with a stronger focus on practical business skills. While the program offers a broad foundation, there are fewer specialized tracks compared to other universities.
  • Expensive: To be brutally honest, pursuing MiM at LSE is costly. The annual tuition fee is £38,472 for a Master’s in Management( 2024/25)   If you are pursuing a Global Master’s in Management (CEMS MiM) at LSE then the tuition goes to 74,776 GBP(£37,168+ £37,608) In the current economic condition in the UK, the cost of living in London is substantial, including housing, food, transportation, and other expenses. This is something to be thought about carefully before making your application.
  • Relevance: LSE’s MiM program is comparatively new and focuses strongly on managerial topics and social science approaches. It can be considered more theoretical over the practical skills as per the market demands.

Despite this potential drawback, the LSE MIM program equips you with a versatile skill set applicable across various industries. LSE does provide a few scholarships for deserving candidates and we have helped several candidates crack admits and scholarships to LSE.
